Hello and welcome to my latest obsession, lip gloss. Who knows what spurred this on, but every time I get ready, I just love to put on a little bit of lip gloss. Maybe it’s because my lips have been so dry lately or because I am living like a slob, but either way, gloss just makes me feel that little bit better. I thought in today’s post I’d share my top lip gloss formulas. There should be something for everyone in here as I’ve included a range of formulas and textures, so hopefully you all enjoy.

Starting with a high street classic, the NYX Butter Glosses are stunning. I would describe these as an easy gloss. It is the sort of formula that you can just chuck on, with or without makeup and just feel like you’ve made that bit more of an effort. These glosses are super creamy and lightweight with just a little added colour. My favourite shade is Fortune Cookie which is a super pale nude but the shade Creme Brûlée is also well loved in my collection.

Next up is the BareMinerals Gen Nude Buttercream Lip Glosses. These are very similar to the NYX glosses but I would say that they are just a little bit thicker in texture. They are definitely more of an intense gloss, one that will last a long time. I also think that the colour pay off on these is the perfect opacity, you can wear them with or without a colour underneath. Personally, I love wearing this in the centre of the lips, over a lipstick, just to add that sheen and extra dimension. My favourite shade in this has got to be Groovy, it is a beautiful pale pink shade that goes with any nude lip colour.

A gloss that is so beautiful, I am constantly scared to use is the Dose of Colours Desi & Kate Lip Gloss. I have the shade Over the Top which is this beautiful clear gloss with super tiny gold specs in it and it is just stunning. With it being a clear gloss, it is so versatile. On its own or over product, with or without makeup, this looks stunning. It is a super luxurious formula too, super thick but comfortable and the sheen this gives is so wet looking, it’s beatiful.

The Buxom Full On Plumping Lip Cream Gloss are so high raved about and rightly so, they are incredible. Definitely one for those of you who love that super minty and pluming gloss that makes your lips feel like they’re on fire, but in a good way. I have the shade White Russian which is a super pale pinky shade, which you can tell is a recurring theme in my gloss collection, but it is lovely. This is one that I pull out for events as it is more of an intense gloss, but also something to add, this looks great in photos!

This is probably my ride or die gloss and I don’t know anyone who owns these, but they are awesome. If you have been reading my blog for a while then you will know that I adore the Artdeco Hydro Lip Boosters. I picked these up in Germany years ago and to this day, they are some of my favourites ever. They are just so easy and go with any look. I have a couple of shades in this, all nudes, but they are just so good and well-loved in my collection.

The Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Glosses are very similar to the Buxom ones and are a great dupe if you ask me. Once again, on the more intense, plumping side of gloss, but they are great. My favourite shade is Rose & Shine, another pale pink but it is also a mini so it is perfect to just throw in my bag.

A super unique gloss formula I love is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Lip Gloss. This has such an unusual formula as when you apply it, it feels more like an oil. It is actually really nice though because it makes your lips feel super hydrated. These also have a much stronger colour pay off than the others I have mentioned. The shade Papa Don’t Peach is my favourite at it is a medium nude shade, which I love to wear just on its own.

The final gloss I have to mention is the Collection Liquid Lip Colours. These are probably the most pigmented glosses I have in my collection that I actually like. That’s because most pigmented glosses tend to be super streaky but that is one thing this gloss is not. They are super even and the applicator ensures that you get one even layer.

I’d love to know if there is a gloss out there that you love and that hasn’t made this post!

Stay safe,

Grace
