Okay, I know we are all excited for lockdown to end. Although it feels like it could be a little while away, I’m trying to keep my spirits high. When I asked on Insta (linked) what fashion posts you wanted to see, my bestest Penny gave the suggestion of sharing outfits I’m excited to wear after lockdown. Currently, I am living in sweatshirts and joggers, so I thought this would be a great idea, especially if it meant playing dress up. I’m only sharing five outfits in this post, but all of them I have planned and styled whilst in lockdown and so I can’t wait to get out and wear them for real at some point.
THE SMART CASUAL
Probably my favourite outfit of the whole bunch because of how chic it looks. I have been wanting a sleeveless polo for so long and I finally got around to upcycling this one last week. It isn’t the neatest of work but I actually love how it looks with this skirt. I love a good leather skirt and this one is my most recent buy. The brown colour is just so perfect for spring and the fit is so flattering. I love the white and brown together, plus the jewellery just adds a little extra detail. This and a pair of little boots would be my perfect outfit for brunch, or afternoon tea or even for work with a blazer thrown over the top.
THE BASIC GLAM
Oh how I love my white leather jacket. It is always such a fun piece to style and I love to bring it back every now and again. I kept it quite casual for this one though. Sticking to some blue denim and a burnt orange, ribbed tee. Super simple underneath but I think the white leather jacket just makes it pop. It is definitely a statement. I think that this would look so fab with a pair of white boots for maybe a concert or drinks.
THE GIRLY AND PASTEL
A super simple outfit but I just love this dress. Such a comfy yet flattering material. Plus the colour is so perfect for spring. I wanted to keep the pastel tones, so I whipped out these Gazelles in this gorgeous mint green shade. This would make such a fab pastel combo and I now just want to wear this whenever possible. But I would probably wear this for a casual day out, shopping or to lunch.
THE EVERYDAY FIT
This dress has been sitting in my wardrobe for the longest time and I have finally shot in it. I love the stripes on this dress as they are super flattering, and the black and white just keeps it super simple to style. The length is also just above the near so it looks super feminine and effortless. I styled this with my oversized denim shirt, just to give it that casual touch. Once again, I’d wear this for a casual day out with a pair of trainers just to add to the effortless vibe.
THE ALL OUT
I can’t wait to go on a night out when all of this is over and this is my latest outfit idea. Not that you can see, but these are a pair of wide leg trousers and I love how high waisted they are. I had to match the red on the trousers to a plain red tee. Call it casual but this with a pair of heels, full glam and maybe even my white leather jacket, it just screams night out to me.
Let me know if you’d like to see a part two to this post as I would love to come up with some more outfits for after lockdown is over. Also, let me know which one of these five was your favourite look in the comment below.
