Pink and mini, summer outfit 2019

If you haven’t been following my blog or Instagram for the past week or so, then you may not know, that I have just come off my holiday. While I was in Fuerteventura, I managed to get some cute outfits shots that I wanted to share. So if you like fashion or want to relive some summer styles, then you are going to love the upcoming posts!

I love basic, comfortable clothing, I guess that is just my style. Something I can throw on that still looks cute. But when it comes to the hotter months, I definitely think that it is more difficult to find those comfortable pieces. Between chafing and sweating, most clothing pieces never stay that comfortable for long periods of time. Saying that, during this holiday, I have found some pieces that really work for me, including this mini dress.

When it comes to dresses…

I am pretty particular. It needs to look flattering, stylish and be comfortable all at the same time. I can’t say I have found this in many dresses, but this one is a winner. Bodycon dresses are definitely some of my favourites to go for as I find them to be super versatile to style and extremely comfortable.

This dress is from Forever 21

and I would describe it as a baby pink, ribbed, bodycon mini dress. When I saw this in-store, I knew I’d end up buying it. What I love the most about this dress is the material. It is a waffle material, super thick and so flattering. I find that this bodycon dress holds a little more structure than other ones I have worn so it stays put. Saying that it also has a lot of stretch to it. Initially holding it up, you wouldn’t think it would fit me, but it is super stretchy which makes it so easy to get on and off, but also easy to maneuver around in.

Baby pink isn’t my colour, but this shade of pink is a little more peachy, something I can handle. I think the colour of this dress really makes it. It’s so cute and perfect for summer. It is also the sort of colour that I feel will pair nicely with loads of other colours Also, it looks great with a tan.

As for how I styled it, I kept it so super simple. White trainers and some sunglasses. Perfect for just walking around, doing some shopping, and eating some ice cream. Which was exactly what I did in this dress.

I’d love to know your thoughts on this piece as a summer staple, would you wear it? and how would you style it?
